The 体验训练办公室 (OET) and Continuing Professional Education (CPE), in the Department of 药店 Practice and Clinical 健康科学 (PPCHS), oversee the experiential training of all students in the professional programs within the 药学院 and 健康科学. These programs include Clinical Laboratory Science, 环境卫生, 健康care 政府 (Bachelor), 医疗管理(硕士), 健康信息管理, 药店, 呼吸疗法.
The office is headed by the Assistant Dean for Practice Programs, Internship Coordinators for Advances 药店 Practice Experiences (APPE), Introductory 药店 Practice Experiences (IPPE), and 联合医疗实践经验s (AHPE), accompanied by administrative support personnel.
The 体验式培训 program is designed to provide experiential learning opportunities through supervised participation in healthcare practices. The rotations were developed in accordance with the mission and vision of 德克萨斯南方大学’s 药学院 and 健康 Science Program and the guidelines set forth by each program’s accreditation body, i.e. including but not limited to the mandates of the Texas State Board of 药店, the Accreditation Council for 药店 Education (ACPE), National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences. (NAACLS), National 环境卫生 Sciences and Protection Accreditation Council (EHAC), Association of University Programs in 健康care 政府 (AUPHA), Commission on Accreditation for 健康 Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM), and Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (COARC). 德克萨斯南方大学 is a fully accredited institution by the Southern Association of 学院和学校. The 药学院 and 健康科学 is a member of the American Association of 大学 of 药店 and the Association of Schools of Allied 健康 Professionals.
健康care continues to progress and be transformed.
